Friedrich Rückert in Coburg und Neuses
In Coburg lernte Friedrich Rückert seine spätere Ehefrau Luise kennen und lieben.
Im Ortsteil Neuses bezog die Familie einen Gutshof. Dort starb der Dichter im Jahr 1866.
Seit 2008 würdigt die Stadt Coburg mit dem Rückert-Preis AutorInnen aus dem arabischen, iranisch/afghanischen, türkischen, indischen und anderen relevanten Sprachräumen.

Friedrich Rückert in Schweinfurt
In Schweinfurt wurde Friedrich Rückert 1788 geboren. Ihrem berühmten Sohn und Ehrenbürger errichtete die Stadt ein Denkmal. Seit 1963 vergibt die Stadt Schweinfurt den Friedrich-Rückert-Preis an Persönlichkeiten, deren künstlerisches oder wissenschaftliches Werk dem Andenken Rückerts würdig ist.
